Welcome
I’m so glad you're here.
I have been a practicing therapist for over twenty years. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Communications, both from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including schools, residential and day treatment centers, outpatient mental health, and private practice, where I currently work with adults and adolescents. My approach to therapy focuses on building relationships with clients. I believe that through connection and providing a safe place to talk, therapeutic growth can happen. I believe in
partnering with patients to help empower them to improve their coping skills, understand addictive behaviors, create healthy boundaries and relationships, and improve their self-confidence. I utilize several therapeutic modalities, including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
In my personal time, I am an avid reader, writer, organizer, and cat lover.
“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.”
